With over 33 years of flying and operating experience, 45,000 passengers flown Hot Air Balloon Tasmania delivers to all of our passengers the highest levels of safety, adventure, entertainment & fun.
We want you to enjoy ballooning in Tasmania just as much as much as we do.
Hot air balloon Tasmania flies all year round and caters for up to 8 persons (weather permitting).
All flights include Breakfast & Souvenir photos, there is NO MORE TO PAY.
Hot Air Balloon Tasmania (Cloud 9 Balloon Flights Pty Ltd) was established in 1993 by John & Clare Allen.
Over 45,000 passengers have safely flown over Hunter Valley and Sydney surrounds during this period.
In 2019 the business was relocated to Launceston Tasmania, John's hometown an area which they believe offers the most spectacular countryside in Australia for hot air ballooning.
Hot air balloon Tasmania operate all year, 6 days a week. Catering for a mx of 12 persons Weather permitting. All flights include breakfast & souvenir photos.

Cancellation Policy
A minimum of 3 working days notice is required to cancel the booking or change the flight date. Modifications to group bookings can be made but are at the discretion of the operator.
FAILURE TO SHOW
You will lose the full cost of your flight if you fail to show for your flight. No refunds or flight rescheduling are allowed in the case of passenger illness but another person may be substituted in your place – please contact our office prior to the flight with replacements name.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Clients should note that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard our clients we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to the actions of clients or from circumstances which are beyond our control. A signed release will be required from all participants on departure.
LIABILITY
Under no circumstances will Hot Air Balloon Tasmania be liable for direct or indirect consequential or incidental damages including but not limited to lost or damaged property lost profits or savings or damages or disappointment. You will be required to complete an indemnity form prior to flying.
Hot Air Balloon Tasmania may arrange for your flight to be carried out by another balloon company. In such instances Hot Air Balloon Tasmania accepts no liability in connection with such services or for any loss injury or damages to in respect to person or property. Cloud 9 Balloon Flights reserves the right to alter contents of product when deemed necessary.
WEATHER MECHANICAL STAFFING & OTHER SAFETY CONDITIONS
Hot air ballooning relies on suitable weather conditions in order to proceed safely. Additionally flights may depend on mechanical performance or staffing availability. When conditions are deemed by Hot Air Balloon Tasmania to be unsuitable or unsafe to proceed then the trip will be cancelled. Similarly a trip may be postponed due to less that minimum numbers (4) being achieved.
CAPACITY
The maximum capacity of passengers in the balloon on any day is 12 passengers (pilot not included).
INSURANCE
It is a legal requirement for all hot air balloon operators to carry public liability insurance Hot Air Balloon Tasmania carries up $20 000 000 with Lloyds of London.
AIR OPERATORS CERTIFICATE
Hot Air Balloon Tasmania was issued with Air Operators Certificate S577717 -04 in 1993 a license required and granted by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority to carry fare paying passengers.
